The Descendants: A Prologue

Named by Sir Leon Maine, who initially discovered these creatures while on a voyage across an unnamed tribal nation. His purposes of his journey was to discover or conquer new land for his country back home. He slaughtered millions of innocent indigenous, and punished them brutally for not following Maine's correct ways of life.

Years after Maine had taken over most mainland in the continent, he established many cities and urban areas for new residents, immigrants, and so forth. His first encounter with the species was back when he was taking part in an annual celebration of the city's creation. The residents all celebrated this event massively, having lead to believe the city was the cornerstone of time. After the celebration had ended, Maine was taking a break in his personal quarters. He made himself comfortable and set the kettle on, when suddenly a hole was punched through the roof with great force. Such power kept to a minimum noise level. A fearsome, well built man with feathered wings descended from above, and landed directly in front of Maine.

Maine was terrified, the man tried to fight him, and Maine was in no good condition for a physical fight. The man put holes in the walls as Maine's only defensive tactic went into action. Heavy footsteps directly behind him snapped floorboards. The man chased Maine through his property, breaking pieces and rooms along the way. After hardly escaping his clutches inside the building, he bolted for his underground armory in a separate building, in of which he pulled a gun on the man. Despite his primitive and uncivil nature at first, he knew exactly what would come to be. The man began to speak in a strange language to himself, like a prayer, before finishing his sentence with a single phrase of English.

This is not the last farewell.

Leon pulled the trigger in utter fear.

Maine spent that night studying the creature, and based on predictions made by several religious groups, identified and officially named this species, "Caelumbestiae" for Beast of the Heavens. He filed these recordings in his weaponry, which later was buried deep beneath the oceans from the break of the new day; The Attack on Maineville.

The Heaven Beasts attacked the city, and this attack would not cease until anything larger than a farmer's field was leveled with the earth.
